Dr Oruganti has more than 15 years of working experience in NHS Wales. He is currently working as Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist in Wales. He worked in inpatient units, Crisis resolution and Home Treatment Team and Community Mental Health Team.

Dr Oruganti obtained his MBBS degree and MD (Psychiatry) degree in India prior to moving to UK to pursue career in NHS. He obtained MRCPsych and later was awarded Fellow of Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) for his excellent contributions to the Royal college of Psychiatrists and faculty
for more than 10 years. He worked in different roles including Chair of General Adult Faculty in Wales and currently Regional Adviser (RA) for Wales RCPsych. Dr Oruganti has DPM (Diploma in Psychological Medicine), Diploma in CBT, Diploma in Management and Diploma in change management.

Dr Oruganti received Training from UKAAN (UK Adult ADHD Network) for ADHD, Begin with A ( Both ADOS and ADI-r Trained For Autism) and attended Bpnd Solon course for Expert witness. Dr Oruganti is also a Second Opinion Appointed Doctor (SOAD) appointed by HIW and Medical member of Mental Health Review Tribunals in Wales.

Dr Oruganti has vast experience in diagnosing and managing Psychiatric conditions and from time to time he also accepts instructions for Medicolegal reports other than for Criminal courts.

Dr Oruganti has special interest in Neurodevelopmental disorders like Autism and ADHD. He has done numerous assessments for these conditions and always conscious about the needs of people who have Neurodiversity.

Dr Oruganti provides comprehensive assessment, diagnostic formulation
and treatment plan. He is very professional, flexible and respects patient’s view points as he strongly believes patients are Experts by Experience. He was also known to be honest and inform the patients at early stage if their needs are more complex which requires Multidisciplinary Team input than giving false hopes to patients.
