Sophie is an experienced Sonographer, working across both the NHS and the private sector. She has worked in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board since 2012 and is the Directorate Manager of Ultrasound Services in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has a Post Graduate Diplomas in Medical Ultrasound graduating from the University of South Wales. Sophie has special interest in fetal medicine and fetal cardiac scanning. In the NHS Sophie is proficient with general abdominal, gynaecological and all aspect of obstetric scanning. On the weekends and evenings she enjoys undertaking 4D bonding scans in the private sector as she enjoys a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere. She has a passion for education and is keen on training prospective Sonographers and Midwives from different faculties.

Outside of work, Sophie is an event organiser for Ethnic Minority Women in Welsh Healthcare. The group recognises the talents of all Asian women and girls and increases their self-esteem and motivation. She enjoys family time, baking and holidays.
